The project
A redesign of the La Plata tourism website, done as an educational exercise with no link to the municipality. It combines Design Thinking with Jesse James Garrett’s five planes. Research includes a survey, benchmarking and tree testing. It reorders the information architecture, adds tools to plan the visit, and is validated with tests on a high-fidelity prototype.

Key decisions
Untangle a confusing architecture
The site had unclear categories, duplicated sections and long paths. With tree testing and card sorting I reorganized it into four pillars: discover the city, what to visit, events calendar and plan your visit.
Prioritize what helps the trip
With the DVF matrix I prioritized navigation improvements, an up-to-date events calendar, simple maps and visual clarity: what people value and the site can sustain.
Tools that invite exploration
I added an events calendar, a neighborhood map and a personalized itinerary to lower cognitive effort, built on a design system that unified visuals and voice.
Project stages
Each stage opens in interactive mode.
